“Disturb us, Lord, when we are too well pleased with ourselves, when our dreams have come true because we dreamed too little, when we arrive safely because we have sailed too close to the shore. Disturb us, Lord.”

Hi and welcome. This site was created back in 2007 as I headed out on The World Race, an 11 month mission trip/ pilgrimage to 11 countries. Most of what you’ll find here are the blogs and videos from that journey, as well as some from my time working with Adventures In Missions and The World Race in 2009 and 2010.
Here’s a bit about me:
I am a daughter, sister, friend, dog lover, Lord of the Rings nerd, travel junkie, and determined agent of change.
I love to create.
Stagnation drives me crazy.
I want what is true.
I’m a Tetris champion, and I hereby challenge anyone to beat my current record.
The question “Why?” is always on my mind.
I’m learning to remember every day that my life is not my own.
I want to be less selfish, more authentic, and full of grace that is scandalous.
I believe very strongly that sometimes God has to take us out, in order to bring us in.

I‘m beyond grateful for the many people who’ve supported me during both good & rough seasons of life, and loved me unconditionally when I was… difficult. Through them I’ve discovered and experienced endless opportunities to change and become.

I landed back in the USA in November 2008 and began working on staff in January 2009 with The World Race / Adventures in Missions, an organization of servant leaders who are committed to mobilizing people of all ages to be the change we need in the world.

God intends us to not just pray for His will, but to BE His will.

Those who are taking the Kingdom are taking it by force. We’re not going to wait around for it to fall in our laps. There are a lot of needs. Everywhere.

If you’re going to read some blog stuff here, I recommend these ones::

Why missions…?

Because Jesus said to make disciples (not converts) of all nations. Of every tribe. Of every tongue.

We’ve got to see orphans who are starving in Africa as more than a statistic, more than a heart-wrenching Compassion commercial, to begin seeing more than their physical hunger, but also their souls and spirits. The women who work as prostitutes are not prostitutes. They are God’s daughters who need some grace and a practical way out. Beyond the lines of culture differences, everyone needs to hear how they are loved… Every one has a mission. Let ours be grace, love, and hope.
