Travel,
it sounds great, most people dream of it, I know I do; but when ‘travel’ comes
to look like what I will divulge to you in the next 200ish words, ‘travel’
becomes less than appealing.
Travel
Numbers from Peru to Bolivia:
6
days
6
buses
48.5
hours on buses
boat

2
missed nights of sleep
3
nights in hostels
8
actual meals (the rest were just snacks)
$2
in bathroom breaks (that is right, you have to pay to use restrooms here…
so Mark… your idea might
just work!)
1
nap on a bus terminal floor
1
shower (and it was on day 5)
appealing? Well other than the obvious annoyances I enjoy travel days because I
get a chance to catch up with other squad mates. And when we finally do get to
ministry sites, it is the greatest feeling of thankfulness to know that you do
not have to get on another bus.
