And so it begins. The holiday season is
here! This year will be the first year I have not spent Thanksgiving with my
family and I know it is going to be hard and fighting homesickness for all of
us world racers in the field. (Please pray against that for us.) But God has
given me a great family within my team and squad and I’m excited to celebrate
with them in Romania this year!

Picture from my sister Kristy. LOVE it!

I am incredibly Thankful for all God is
doing in my life, in the lives of my family and friends back home, and around
the world. There is nothing like living a year out of a backpack, moving every
month, and never knowing where exactly you will be to make you thankful. I
could list hundreds of things I am thankful for but for the sake of time I will
share just a few things:

1) I am thankful for Skype and facetime!
Great inventions that will allow me to talk with and see my family today!

2) I am thankful that God NEVER stops
pursuing me (or YOU). That He has blessed me with a year of learning more about
His love, who He is, and who I am in Him. I am thankful that when I ask for
more of Him He is ready and more than willing to lavish Himself on me. “You
will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13

(Laura, you can put that on the table cloth! 🙂
