One of the most common questions I get asked is “How exactly do
you pack for a whole year?” In light of this I figured I would just show you my
packing journey through pictures. Enjoy!
I would also like to take this opportunity to introduce Duncan
the plane. Duncan (named by my sister, Kristy) will be traveling the world with
me and you can follow him on his grand adventures! To give you a bit of a back
story on Duncan I will have to go back to November 20, 2009. This was the day
of my cousin Megan’s (and Dusty’s) wedding rehearsal. At the rehearsal dinner
there was a cake pull. This is a tradition where all of the bridesmaids and the
bride pull a charm from the cake and each charm has a fortune with it. I pulled
a plane charm. Obviously the fortune was that I would travel much in my life
(or something to that affect). Anyway, less than a year later I learned about
and was accepted to go on The World Race! I just love how God works in even the
tinniest of details! So, some of my other friends, Jessica and Joy, got me a
going away present and part of it was a necklace with a plane charm on it… the
plane has become Duncan! And here he is:
