While the days in Boake, Cote D’Ivoire can be very long and hot. There is so much beauty in the smallest of moments. While leaving our home, to go find wifi with a teammate. We were met with the smiles and laughs of a heard of little ones leaving their schools. They were beyond excited to practice their English and speak with us and my heart was overjoyed by their gorgeous smiles and stunning brown skin. While we thought they were initially just going to say a few hellos, the little ones just continued to follow us all the way to the hotel we were traveling towards. Oh how their laughs were so contagious!
Looking back at that moment it was something so sweet and full of so much joy! And on days where homesickness hits deep and the African sun never seems to let up, those little moments remind you of the goodness of The Creator. We live in a world that is so broken and hurting so pain and sorrow is rampant. But it’s those little blessings that remind you that The Creator is life-giving and brings light to even the darkest of places. I pray that each and every person reading this is able to experience a little blessing a little miracle, because those are the things that make life worth living
