Im going to keep this short and sweet because 3 blogs in a few short days just seems crazy….
BUT…….
When we signed up for the world race, the one thing that we were told would make this whole journey a whole lot easier would be dropping our expectations……..
TURNS OUT……
I WILL NOT BE ON MY WAY TO BULGARIA TOMORROW….BUT INSTEAD WE WILL BE STARTING OUR JOURNEY IN CENTRAL AMERICA…….
HONDURAS WILL BE OUR FIRST STOP…….
And seriously this makes me so happy and excited. I love this change in plans. Let me clarify….Honduras was always on our itinerary but we weren't supposed to arrive there until April next year. Turns out Bulgaria is not the best place to be flying in July with the Olympics going on in Europe and such.
So here's the plan…we will be in Central America for the next 3 months….still going to all the same countries we we're supposed to be going to if all goes the way they want it to. Then hopefully we will head to Europe in October, and November now. Asia will be the same as before (following 3 months) and our last 3 months will be in Africa. So only time will tell if all the countries will still be the same as originally planned, but whatever way it turns out I know it will be amazing.
So we are off tonight at midnight, taking a bus to New York to JFK airport where we will be catching a flight to central america (Costa Rica), then we will bus to Nicaragua where we will stay the night in a hostel and leave in the morning for Honduras. Let the world race lifestyle/travel days commence.
One last exciting thing about this month is that G-squad…yes the whole squad will be staying at the same ministry contact together for the whole month of July. Let the games begin.
OH AND THE HOTEL FOUND MY SLEEPING BAG….AMEN FOR HIS FAITHFULNESS IN ALL THINGS….LOOKS LIKE I'LL BE NEEDING IT IN EASTERN EUROPE NOW THAT WE WON'T BE THERE IN THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER!!!!
