End of the month but… in all simplicity, I just want to lift up some praise to God since that is really what this mission is all about- overflowing with gratitude, grace and love from God to where it spills out for others.

So here are some of my P R A I S E S. Many of which come from a place where God has been solidifying my trust I’ve already put in Him, and He’s almost nudging me saying trust me with MORE and more and more, and watch how I will just continue to hear you and keep my promises.

PRAISE NUMBER 1:

So yesterday morning, I determined that for the month of February I needed to raise $1,000 dollars to keep the fundraising up to this point somewhat consistent.

Well, yesterday I had $320 dollars for the month.

I needed $680 more in less than two days.

So what to do? My mom and I prayed, asking God to help me get the rest of the $1,000 by today (Feb 28) since it’s always fun to see Him do things last minute. Well I had the full $1,000 in less than two days. Money came in from art sales, over $300 in donations, odd jobs, and random things totaling up to even a little over that for month.

On that note- I am overwhelmed by the kindness and the people who have gone out of the way to make it known that they are there to back me up, in prayer and financial support and I thank God for each one of you!

PRAISE NUMBER 2:

I have had pain in my foot caused from a bunion, which is like a bone that is out of place on the foot, from wearing terrible shoes in Italy all summer. I’ve had it for over half a year.

We prayed for it the 18th, and then on the 20th I went rollerblading with some friends. Rollerblading is R O U G H, by the way. So I thought that my foot would hurt worse than usual, but I got home and looked and guess what? Voila! God completely healed my foot- and removed by bunion. Hollahhhh.

PRAISE NUMBER 3:

God’s been providing me with NUMEROUS jobs, and substitute gigs, all the while helping me see His presence even in the school systems here, which has been awesome, especially in the high schools! Coming across other believers in many of the classes I’ve been in with adults and kids, and hearing them share their stories with me as well has been very cool.

PRAISE NUMBER 4:

God has been dealing with my shyness/introverted-ness? this year, and growing me a lot!

I had a conversation with a friend recently, just about how far this year He’s gotten me out of my comfort zone. If you think that your shyness is without hope, I give you some encouragement, lol. Until last year, I never even prayed aloud in front of people without getting that wavery, nervous feeling which extended into my vocal chords. But this weekend during an outreach we led prayer with a few people and it was not a daunting task as it had been before, but something exciting. Afterwards I was like wait, that was very unlike “me”, but come to think of it, my identity has never been in how I act but in whose I am, so there is freedom in that!

So those are a few of the many things I’m thankful for, but today as I was reading Hebrews it shows that even if we don’t see the end, we should always thank Him for what we know He W I L L do and for what He has already promised.

So I say farewell with this:

Hebrews 11- ” Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

Hebrews 11 talks about the faith of Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Sarah, Joseph, Moses’ parents, Moses, the Israelite’s, and so many more – each section starting out “BY FAITH”. It tells how the walls of Jericho fell, kingdoms were conquered, justice was administered, the mouths of LIONS were shut, flames were quenched, weakness was turned into strength, and lives were raised from the dead.

All we need to do is place our confidence in Him who is trustworthy and consistent. And I just have to say that God always goes above and beyond my hopes and expectations. He is WORTHY of Praise, not for what He does, but because of WHO He IS.

Thanks all!
