I love these kids. I seriously love them.
Whole heartedly.
I feel protective of them and eager to see them succeed.
I take pride in their achievements and I have righteous anger for their unfair pasts.
I love these kids.
A few of them specifically have stolen my heart.
Due to a misunderstanding I thought that you could adopt from Arms of Love. One of the workers here said adoption was possible. I prayed hard about if that was something I was supposed to convince my parents about. They however do not do international adoptions… I still feel like The Lord made clear that one of these kids specifically is supposed to be in my family. I’m not allowed to say names. Just try to understand my disappointment when I felt like Abba was saying “she’s your sister. Talk to your mom and dad about her specifically.” Days passed when I was talking to him about that and he poured more peace and excitement into me about it. I had a seriously solid argument. My parents were in for a treat. Then I do more research and ask more questions and international adoption is not possible.
But I felt so sure about it.
I felt like this was exactly where God was pointing me.
I honestly had to go through a grieving process.
I’m still really confused about that.
Maybe consider praying for my heart about the whole situation.
Adoption isn’t possible. But sponsoring a child is. Let’s talk about child sponsorship. I’ve talked to some of my older girls and they know the names of their sponsors and have sticky notes on their beds about all the assignments they have to do, important events coming up, and then in bold letters it says “pray for sponsors”. If you’ve never sponsored a child I ask you to consider sponsoring one of my kids.
My kids are able to live here because of sponsors. They get an education, are fed, and have a safe place to live because people around the world choose them online from their picture and a couple details about them. That literally means the world to them. It means they get to stay in their homes and continue at their schools. It’s securing their safety. Sponsoring a child from Arms of Love is guaranteeing that they have someone in their lives to love them.
I am their ate(ah-tey).
I’m their big sister.
They are my family and they need your support.
