I am excited to share with you what opportunity the Lord has opened up for me! I was recently accepted to go on a 9-month mission trip called World Race Gap Year. I will be leaving in September 2016 to travel to Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Ethiopia, Nepal and The Philippines. In each of these countries my team will be partnering with local churches and ministries to help serve in the areas of need.
I am overflowing with joy and so beyond grateful for this opportunity that I have been blessed with! After a long season of patiently waiting and searching for the purpose God has for me, He revealed to me that I was called to fulfill the Great Commission, to go and make disciples of all nations. I want to live for something more. I want who I am and everything I do to reflect Christ. I want to obey His call and give water to the thirsty, food to the hungry, clothe the naked, provide shelter for the homeless and the lost, to care for the sick, to love the neglected, befriend the lonely and give hope to the hurting. While on the race, I get to live this way. All of my belongings will be in one backpack for 9 months. In each country we will be sharing the Gospel, praying over Gods people, spending time with kids, building houses, churches, playgrounds and investing our time loving people. I cant wait to share the goodness of our God and His grace. I want the people I encounter to experience the most beautiful, highest and purest form of love there is.
This is where you come in! There are two goals I need to meet as I prepare for this journey and I need your help. My first goal is to gather a prayer team. Prayer is essential in order for me to walk out the call Jesus has placed on my heart. My second goal is funding. I have to raise a total of $14,806 and there are financial deadlines I need to meet. I need to be fully funded by September 2016. This covers my travel, food and other necessities while abroad. Financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as a monthly donation. Any donation, larger or smaller is greatly appreciated. All donations are tax deductible. The amount of money is overwhelming but I know that the God who called me to this race will be faithful in providing for me.
