Hello family
and friends!
The first month of ministry on the World Race has officially come to a close. Although we didn’t arrive in Lezhë until the 9th of July, the past 3 weeks have absolutely flown by!
It was such a blessing to be able to serve here and hopefully touched the lives of the 350+ Albanian children that we were in contact with. The laughter and smiles shared during the course of the month was something special to me, and there were also a few tears shed when our kids for that week would depart for home on Saturday mornings. Fantastic month 1!
Our ministry contact George and his organization LightForce International turned out to be a semi-soft landing into the global missions field. We have had a sermon offered each morning following breakfast, a bed to lie on and an established program to partner with to learn and grow alongside our team and squad.

What’s next you ask? Well, the AIM staff has been very hard at work trying to hammer down ministry contacts in various countries around Eastern Europe. Originally, we were scheduled to be serving in Ireland for month one, then it became Turkey, and as you now know we ended up in Albania! Much of the same is happening for our second month of ministry, as instead of traveling to Romania… we are going to…
Bulgaria! wait….. AND Serbia!
That’s right; month two is going to be split between two different countries! While the details of some of the R squad teams ministry locations are still being finalized, my team (Go’el) will be serving in SOFIA BULGARIA!

We are extremely excited and blessed to be serving alongside Team Radical Obedience in month 2. I can’t wait to have some more ridiculous laughs and minister with Kevin Johnson (team leader), Tiffany Blount (fellow Michigander), Alex Warren (Logistics partner in crime), Zach Miller, Kadie Tabor and Sara Wingate!
Details of what we will be doing are still to come, butrumor has it that it will be another children’s summer camp! Time to learn some Bulgarian! Hello = zdrah-vey-teh) and Thank You = blah-goh-dah-ryah)
Our squad will be departing from Lezhë, Albania at 7:00 p.m. local time (1 eastern), on a single bus to Sofia, Bulgaria. The drive is expected to be approximately 13 hours, putting us at Central Bus Station Sofia (Bulgaria) around 9:00 a.m. local time (lose 1-hour).
By the way… Yo, means No in Albanian. There's been a ton of Yo's said this month to the kids, but knew it'd get your attention! 😉
Please pray for us as we prepare to travel to our next ministry locations, the hearts of each of the racers and the health and healing of the entire squad. Thank you for all your support and I will talk to you from Sofia!
P.S… Logistics blog update coming soon for the first month! Good stuff!
