Hey guys,

Just wanted to send out a quick update on what’s going on in my life as I get closer to leaving. I have some updated info for some of you who have been asking.
Anyways, I will be flying to Chicago’s O’Hare airport on September 4th to meet up with the rest of my team. After spending a few days catching up and getting ready, we will be leaving to go to our first country: the Dominican Republic! From there we will make the short trip over to Haiti in Month 2 and then on to Thailand in Month 3!

I know that for many of you I was unable to give you clear answers on when I was leaving and where exactly I was going. Unfortunately, that is the nature of the World Race and flexibility is key because plans have a tendency to change all the time. Nonetheless, I am excited to share this information about my destinations with you and I hope you continue to keep me in your prayers as I head off.

Other than this, I’ve graduated from George Mason University and my last day at my work is going to be Friday, the 24th. It’s weird to be ending this chapter of my life but I’m so excited for what God’s got for me for this next year! Feel free to get in contact with me in the next few weeks before I head off.

I also wanted to say a quick word of thanks to all of you who have so generously supported me over the past many months. God has been so gracious in providing in funding and He is going to be using your gifts over the next year in some awesome ways! So far, I’ve raised about $6,800 (Praise God!) which is almost halfway to my final goal of $15,500. So if you still feel led to support me, it would be a huge blessing for me! There’s a link on the left side of my blog labeled, Support Me! This will take you to a page where you can easily donate.

Also, if you have enjoyed reading my blog thus far and are keen to follow along with me on this incredible journey, you can subscribe to my blog and receive email updates whenever I post something new! Simply click on Update Alerts on the list on the left and enter your email address. It’s that easy!
Once again, I want to say thanks to everyone for all your prayers and gifts – I’ve been so humbled by your generosity.
Less than three weeks til Launch!
