Things have changed… Changed big. Big change.

I am not sure I even know where to start. Maybe we can start with the present tense for me.

So… I am currently in Manila on the Fifth of November. Some of my squadmates are sitting in the next room watching V for Vendetta in a state of remembrence. P.S. Manila = the capital of the Phillipines. Andrea Garcia, Michael Desmond, and I have been called up into the position of Squad Leaders. We will be spending the next six weeks in the Phillipines. Those are the facts. Here is where I may be able to fill in the rest.

Someone somewhere once said that life is all about perspective. I never fully understood what that exactly meant. Then, there was last month. I watched as one morning God reached into my life, strangled my old perspective, and molded me a new one all in an instant. Pretty much, God pulled the ol' switcharoo and handcrafted me a new way to look into my every day experience. In one translation of the Bible in Ephesians 2, it says "For we are His workmanship" (meaning God's). In another it says that "we are God's masterpiece".

Some of what I just said has everything to do with where I sit now. I sit at a table in a posture that must be humility in order to be pure. Knowing that whatever comes next is protected by what is being perfected in me. A "new" perspective imparted through the touch of a loving Father that brings dead things to life.

Amen.
