Howdy Y’all, I’m Kersey!
Welp…by that introduction you probably could have guessed…I am from TEXAS! I am from a tiny little German town right in the wonderful Hill Country called Fredericksburg. I absolutely LOVE my little town and so proud to be from there! I am wrapping up my last (finally) year of school at Texas State University (Eat ‘Em Up Cats!) and I am so so excited! I graduated with my B.A. in Psychology, and returned to school to get my Master’s in Recreation Therapy. I was lead to the World Race, and believe I have been called to do something so great and SO amazing. I am just so grateful that God has given me this amazing opportunity!!
Things I That I Love:
1. I am very passionate about exercise, recreation, general health, and the outdoors! I love to hike, kayak, paddle board, and camp and will do anything to spend a few hours a day outside! I love the feeling of being outside and feeling the sun shining down on me.
2. My second absolute favorite thing to do is sing and worship! I love to sing in my car, in my house, in church, and on the streets! It doesn’t matter to me, I just love to sing on the top of my lungs.
3. I really enjoy reading, learning, and writing. I have been in school for SO long, that after a while I just grew really passionate about my education and learning as much as I could. I enjoy learning about the world and other peoples cultures! I enjoy kicking back and reading a good book, as well as writing in my journal. I have recently gotten really interested in writing in a journal and documenting wonderful things that happen to me.
4. Sports, sports, sports! I love to play, watch, teach, and talk about sports! I am also quite competitive!! haha
Random Facts About Yours Truly:
1. I was named after a professional basketball player, Jerome Kersey. On my 20th birthday I received a signed jersey by him!! It was the most amazing gift.
2. I have the memory of an elephant…not kidding. I can remember birthdays and song lyrics like no ones business! Just tell me when your birthday is and next birthday around I will still remember it!
3. This will be my first time out of the country, but I love to travel! crazy huh? but I am beyond blessed and ready for this wonderful journey God has called me to!
