I woke up this morning with the sound of cows mooing in the background but this was no normal mooing. My only explanation of why the cow was mooing so intense was if it was mating or being butchered. All I know it woke me up from a wonderful sleep. I rolled out of my sleeping bag and headed out for some quality time with the Lord. Lately my time with the Lord has been sweet and refreshing. He is revealing so much to me and sometimes it’s overwhelming. I sit in His presence and think what makes my Father want to be with me. He doesn’t love me because of what I do. He doesn’t care that I have found success in the world standards and views. I don’t have to prove anything to God because HE LOVES ME!!!! He loves me when I am not looking. He loves me when I am broken. He loves me when I am silent. He loves me when I am loud. He loves me when I cannot speak. He loves me when I fail. He loves me when I fall. He loves me when I am silly. He loves me when I dance. He loves me when I am weak. He loves me when I am strong. HE LOVES ME!!! HE LOVES ME!!! And HE LOVES YOU!!!
These few days in New Zealand at the YWAM base has been amazing. My team Arete and I have been growing closer to one another. We’ve already been growing leaps and bounds these few days but we still have lots to learn this next year as we serve together, cry together and worship our Lord together. I am seeing God in each of my teammates but it’s not always roses and gumdrops. Living in community is hard as I found out today. We have an upcoming video ( it will be posted soon so watch out for it) We were working on it today and I found it to be hard to be of “one mind.” But I know my God is faithful and I am learning the times I am frustrated it’s not at my team but I am frustrated with me. So Lord my prayer is change my attitude, change my heart and change my whole being. I want to be able to look at tough situations and not see the problems but the solutions.
Despite all the lessons I need to learn there is still much time. In fact I have a whole year dedicated to God and to change! So with that I am excited to announce my training week is about to end. Tomorrow my team and three other teams are heading out to our new mission opportunity in New Zealand. My team and I are heading to Tauranga , New Zealand. We are pitching up our tents and staying at Bethlehem College for a three week ministry to help set up and serve for two conferences. First is YWAM JUBILEE this is a conference celebrating 50 years in ministry in New Zealand. Also the call2all conference which is mostly for the young people here who are searching for more of God and more of His life. You can find all information at www.call2all.org. We will be doing all sorts of jobs and ministries. I will post more as soon as I know what’s all in involve.
