Think of all the well-known spiritual giants in the 21st
century i.e. Billy Graham, Cindy Jacobs, Heidi Baker, Bill Johnson, Patricia
King, Graham Cooke, Loren Cunningham, Beth Moore, and thousands more.

God is doing something new in the atmosphere, where the
gospel is not hanging in the balance upon one person’s shoulders. For
generations there has been mighty men and woman of God who took up the cause
and often ran alone
.

My generation must honor the ones before us who have paved
the way, so in order we can take over and mobilize something different.  God is pushing His agenda for like-
minded people who will stand as ONE and do His work as ONE. Never before has
there been platform for all of God’s people. There have been single voices of
God’s chosen prophets and teachers, but now we are entering an age of a united
people with a united cause
to bring back the KING.

For instance, right now we are seeing more unity within
different streams i.e. Bethel, Catch the Fire, IHOP, and YWAM are all getting
together. How can this work you may ask? Yes each stream has their own identity
and purpose, however the goal is still the same… to see an outpouring of the
Holy Spirit upon all mankind, a mobilization of the gospel of Jesus Christ to
ALL nations and to see the church victorious in the last days.

This should rattle you to the core. Never has there been a
time where there has been a great emphasis so strongly on UNITY. Jesus is
coming and we must get ready for what comes before He returns. Even so, the
true question is… is the church ready for revival? For all revivals comes with
a cost.

Are you ready to lay your lives down for Christ? Now this is
not an extreme act that I am talking about. I am not calling forth the next holy
war. However, I take my cue from Ephesians 6:12 which says, “For our struggle
is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the
authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual
forces of evil the heavenly realms.”

Nevertheless, there is cost to following Christ Jesus. Jesus
said in Matthew 11:38-39, “And anyone who does not take his cross and follow me
is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his
life for my sake will find it.” This is an extreme act in itself. It is saying,
I choose to die to self because the life I find in Christ is far greater then
all riches of this dying world can offer.

The fact still remains when
following Christ
there is a real possibility of martyrdom.  The next statement explains, There is a widely quoted statistic that more Christians died for their faith
in the 20th century than in the 19 centuries leading up to it.  But as bad
as the 20th century was, the 21st century is starting to make that look like a
Sunday picnic.  In every corner of the globe, Christians are being shot,
burned, hanged, tortured and even stuffed into metal shipping containers.
Christian clergy are being marked for assassination around the world; hundreds
of churches are being burned to the ground along with scores of homes and
businesses owned by Christians.  Dozens of nations across
the globe have now passed strict anti-conversion laws in an attempt to
stifle the spread of Christianity.  In the countries where Christians
are not yet facing physical persecution, they still must deal with open
discrimination, lawsuits and increasing ridicule.  Christianity is
now the most hated and most persecuted religion on the planet.  The
reality is that the words that Jesus spoke in John 15:18 ring truer
today than ever: “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated
me first.”

You may ask how does this topic
relate to revival? The truth is God longs for a people who know Him, love Him
and will do what He commands, to love God and to love others.  Matthew 22:37-40

My favorite portion of
scripture comes from Mark 16:15-18, where Jesus clearly pointed out what He
longs for His disciples (including us) to walk in, “He said to them, “Go into
all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is
baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And
these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out
demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their
hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they
will place their hands on sick people, and the will get well.”

How far will you go for this gospel?

“To the ends of the earth” as Jesus said in Acts 1:8

Are you a witness to God’s great power?

Do you believe that you are called for more?

It is time for the body of Christ to reach down deep in
ourselves and call out greatness. For we are all called to be ambassadors for
Christ.

Let us reach this world for Christ as ONE.
