On Thursday I decided it was time to go and see a doctor, to make sure what I had was not Malaria. It has been four days already and my symptoms were still prevalent.

After a long time trying to find where in the hospital I needed to be in. I arrived at building B3 and got a consultation right away. I came in for a simple Malaria test but the nurses began to prick and pin me over and over again saying, “they needed more blood! The doctor all of the sudden said that I needed to be admitted to the hospital. I was very confused because my first two tests for Malaria turned out to be negative.

The doctor continued to explain saying,”that she needs to figure out what’s wrong because I just came from Africa.” So they led me to a small room with two beds and put an IV in me because I was dehydrated and also gave me medication for my nausea.

The next day I ended up getting examined by 8 doctors and they all watched as the main doctor pushed down on my stomach and took my blood pressure, which was still low.

It was weird I felt like I was on display. They all came to conclusion after asking me several questions that I have Gastritis, which is inflammation of the stomach lining. Without a moment notice they left me with unanswered questions.

The whole day I was going stir-crazy and I needed to get out of the hospital. I was feeling better thanks to the medication and I just wanted to get back to Casa Shalom. Courtney went and asked if I could leave.

After awhile a nurse came in and said I can go home but I needed to come back tomorrow and get the last test results. Hopefully I will not be admitted again because originally they wanted me to stay until Monday.

Well that’s my adventure in a Romanian hospital. I left a lot of details out but what I thank the Lord for is that the doctors were really attentive and they tried their best to understand me.

Please continue to pray for complete wholeness and health. Thanks!
