Prayer is not just a thing we have to do. It was never intended to be a chore or a routine. It was never suppose to be ritualized and commercial. The world made prayer a subject to ridicule. Satan has glorified it in his many idols. Christians don’t even understand its power and continues to cry out to God when they “need something.”
It’s simple! When you pray for a split moment your heart connects with the Father and you feel the earth rumble beneath your feet as earth and heaven meets.
Romans 5:1-2 (Message)
By entering through faith into what God has
always wanted to do for us-set us right with him, make us fit for
him-we have it all together with God because of our Master Jesus. And
that’s not all: We throw open our doors to God and discover at the same
moment that he has already thrown open his door to us. We find
ourselves standing where we always hoped we might stand-out in the
wide-open spaces of God’s grace and glory, standing tall and shouting
our praise
I love this verse it tells us about the full access we have in Christ Jesus. We are no longer bound to earth and chained in destruction of sin. The doors are wide open. We can go to the throne room of God where the Lord can teach us his ways so we can walk in his paths. Why wouldn’t you want to do that? Why not enter the chamber of our Lord?
nsuming, you get what you want and you don’t care what it cost. When you see with your eyes the COST you will not and cannot stay in the same patterns of this world.
So I am taking a stand. I will stand for the least of these, I will hold the hand of the unlovely, I will eat with those who have nothing, I will shower kindness on the widow, I will show real love to the prostitute, I WILL BE CHRIST TO THE WORLD.
I will bend my knee and pray and stand in the wide gap. WILL YOU?
