Darkness invited himself over without being asked
There he began to play games with the host
Taunting him and saying he will never see the light again
The host sat in the darkness thinking he was forever lost
Until he heard a song outside of his window
“My beloved where have you been? I’ve been waiting for you
Come take my hand. My son has forgiven you
And my cross has redeemed you. I will not reject you.
I am here to save you.�
The host yelled in a loud voice enough to the demons
Then the light ripped the curtain two and pierced the heart of darkness
And they began to scream as they fled, “ Jesus you win�
The light overwhelmed the host that he fell to the ground
His body was shaken by the truth and the reality of the cross sank in deeper.
Tears flowed from his eyes as he saw the Jesus blood fall down
It washed every stain and left no trace of the old life.
He was clean and He is free.
No longer bound by the lies and shame
This man is now free to dance
What is amazing is that we don’t have to listen to Satan’s accusations and lies. We don’t have to live a defeated life. Zechariah 3:1-10 reveals truth in order to stand against Satan’s deception and live a righteous life.
He showed me Joshua the High priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him. And the LORD said to Satan, “The LORD rebuke you, Satan! Indeed, the LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?� Now Joshua clothed with filthy garments and standing before the angel. And he spoke and said to those who were standing before him saying, “Remove the filthy garments from him.� Again he said to him, “See, I have taken your iniquity away from you and will clothe you with festal robes.� Then I said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head.� So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him with garments, while the angel of the LORD was standing by.
God has declared us forgiven, and He has also removed our filthy garments of unrighteousness. God rebuked Satan because nothing that Satan accuses us with cannot stick because Jesus Christ has justified us and lives to intercede for us Romans 8:33,34. So here in this passage Satan’s accusations are groundless because through Jesus Christ dying on the cross our heavenly solved the problem forever.

Dear Heavenly Father; I know that you want me to know the truth, believe the truth, speak the truth, and live in accordance with the truth. Thank you that it is the truth that will set me free. In many ways I have been deceived by Satan, the father of lies, and I have deceived myself as well.
Father, I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, by the virtue of His shed blood and resurrection, asking you to rebuke all of Satan’s demons that are deceiving me.
I have trusted in Jesus alone to save me, and so I am your forgiven child. Therefore, since you accept me just as I am in Christ, I can be free to face my sin and not try to hide. I ask for the Holy Spirit to guide me into all truth. I ask you to “search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my anxious thoughts; and see if there be any hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way. “ In the name of Jesus, who is the Truth, I pray. Amen (Psalm 139:23,24)
