Hey here’s some facts about me. My name is Kerry Elaine Bates. I am 26 years old. I live in Canada and have traveled in every province also almost in every state in USA, except three. I have lived in many places in Canada. Currently I am residing in a small town in Ontario. I would consider myself a country girl but everyday I am growing to love the urban lifestyle, it’s lots of fun! For the past four almost five years I have been working for an organization called Christian Horizons. I work with people with developmental disabilities and I absolutely love it! 
Some of my favorite things to do is horseback riding, playing the guitar and piano, singing, writing songs, I love fishing!, hiking, canoeing, jumping on my trampoline, camping, swimming, paintball, rock climbing, reading, gardening (I will miss my garden so much when I leave), photography, cooking, baking, painting (although my paintings look like a four year old did it), I love bomb fires, hanging out with friends, hanging out with my Sunday School kids, teaching, cracking up jokes with my co-workers, bird watching (I know I am a geek), picking apples, making jewelry, I love to shop, make my own clothes (I’ve only conquered making pj’s and handbags), I don’t mean to brag but I am an expert in making the perfect smores, and I am a tetherball campion but that was in 1996. In general I enjoy life.
I am the baby in my family and my parents are very supportive of me going into missions. Currently I live with my friend of 15 years and my sister in a great house with awesome neighbors. They are all non-christians but they all know that we know the Lord. It has been great getting to know them and building relationships. We have had many conversations about church and Christ. And I am just so glad that I am able to be light in my community. I serve with my church Bradford Baptist and I teach Sunday School and lead worship. I love my church because it’s stepping out of the box and thinking Kingdom.
