A surprise encounter with Y Squad

When I arrived in Bangkok, Thailand I had one thought come
to mind, “I hope I will be able to meet up with a World Race team.” However,
when I got to the YWAM base I was informed that I literally just missed the
team. I was quite disappointed and I will admit I prayed that God would allow
me to meet up with a squad.

 

 

It has been over two years since my WR experience, but once
a world racer ALWAYS a world racer. I am now with YWAM, but I thank God for my
time with the WR, for it has prepared me for living a life on the edge with
God. I shared a year worth of memories of living in the Kingdom and I am
forever ruin. I touched the sick and lame, prayed for the cripple and the widow.

 

 

                

 

 

Never will I look back; never will I be put to shame, for I am running this
race strong for the glory of my King.

 

 

 

My team left Bangkok to was minister in the south for a
couple of weeks. Our next destination was to the north, but we stopped back to
Bangkok for a couple of days to rest. The YWAM campus was packed and buzzing
around with excitement. My leader found me in anticipation and said, “Kerry
guess what, World Race is here!” I jumped and ran to see if I could find world
racers, but there were none to be found. However, I knew it was going to be a
fun day filled with some cool encounters and I was right, I met several people
and one person even knew my teammate Amanda Glenn, it totally made my day.

 

 

In the evening, I bumped into Cameron and Adrea at the
market.
We had such an incredible conversation and I talked a lot about my own time on
the World Race and how God has completely change my life. They shared about their race route and
how God has been using them. After awhile we went our separate ways, but we had
a chance to meet up again at the YWAM base. Cameron and Andrea were talking to
a girl name Jenny ( who’s another fellow Canadian) and this time God had a different agenda and I felt the Holy
Spirit moving me to pray and prophesy over them.

 

 

I had such a great time pouring into them and I walked away realizing all the more how much I
miss the World Race and being used by God to bring hope to nations. There is
such a distinctive culture within WR family that you don’t get anywhere else. A
bond and a unity that is so unique, that it can only be establish because of
the Father’s love. When you walk in papa’s love, you walk as love to the
world.    

 

 

Y Squad has 6 more months left in their race and it was such
an honor and pleasure to be used by God to bring a message of encouragement.
