The other night I thought to myself, “this couldn’t possibly be my life…living in India, witnessing miracles, and watching Indian boys dance to spunky indian music,” This can’t be normal. Every moment is captivating if I let it be.
It’s almost hilarious how the Lord works and changes things. One day our team is struggling for unity and the next day a paralyzed man walks after we pray for him. We shouldn’t be surprised by this and soon enough I don’t think we will be. We claim this as our normal. Miracles are for today. We’ve seen the blind see, the possesssed be set free, the crippled walk…and the Lord did it all. He wants so badly to heal so people will believe and know his power and love. I want us to be a blessing to every village and person. Awesome fact: nobody is surprised when they’re healed. They have full faith. Our pastors here see miracles all the time and were surprised we don’t.
We’re bringing this home, don’t worry. In 10 more months we’re bringing this lifestyle and faith back to America. You can’t deny the Lords power and goodness. We put our faith in machines and man when the Lord can handle anything we bring Him. Yes, He has a plan all His own and His own timing but I can’t imagine how he feels when we’re suffering and He longs to heal us yet we never invite him to. He’s just saying, “Ask me to heal you, give me this burden!”
If you’re skeptical-seek the Lord. Just talk to Him about it. If the Lord
has given us all the authority Jesus had why wouldn’t we seek to help others? What are we doing with it? Waiting for something to change? It IS different in America but that is
definitely no excuse and I know that now.
The Lord has a special and unique plan for all of us. No matter what your day looks like
there are so many opportunities to be bold or to just be engaged.
This is only month one and I keep telling myself that. The lord knows no limits and I don’t
want to limit Him this year. Or
ever.
If nothing else, we’re sharing the word, therefore, Jesus
will come back sooner. I will
never forget seeing a paralyzed man walk.
He sat on the ground with his hands open to receive Gods blessing and
with perservearance, prayer and praise he stood and walked. His muscles will be strong again and he
will run and he will dance. Sidenote-the men dance here and it’s incredible.
