Yesterday, we went to an orphanage.
60 children, starved of love and affection, huddled around us tentatively.
This 5 year old little girl climbed up in my lap, staying with me for the majority of our time there. We played clapping games, I talked to her in English, she responded in Kinarwanda,
and I wished I could take her home with me.

“As the Scriptures tell us,
“anyone who trusts in Him will never be disgraced”.
Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect.
They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on Him.
For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
But how can they call on Him to save them unless they believe in Him?
And how can they believe in Him if they have never heard about Him?
And how can they hear about Him unless someone tells them?
And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent?”
Romans 10:11-15a
There are missionaries,
and then there are those who are called to send missionaries.
Both play a vital roll in God’s call to GO.
Both become His hands and feet.
Both cause a little orphan to know love for the first time in her life.
Both share the truth of God’s love with the world,
and become a part of transforming lives.
I am a missionary.
You have sent me.
You are as much a part of this as I am!
And right now, I need your help.
I received an email from Adventures in Missions staff. I have exactly 4 weeks to raise the remaining $4,000 in order to continue on the World Race. If this amount is not pledged to my account by March 13th,
I will go home.
I believe I am called to finish this mission trip,
and serve in India, Nepal, Romania, and Ukraine.
There are people waiting to know they are loved by God.
I am ready to tell them.
But this can only be accomplished if I am sent.
If you feel God tugging on your heart to give, please do!
He blesses both the sender and the sent, so we’re in this together 🙂
