Dear friends and family,
I am writing this letter to share with you an amazing opportunity the Lord has opened up for me. I have been accepted to go on an 11-month mission trip called the World Race. The World Race is part of Adventures in Missions, an interdenominational missions organization that has sent over 100,000 people into the mission field since 1989. The World Race is one branch of their trips, specifically for young adults to travel to 11 countries in 11 months. I will be leaving in January 2018 to travel to Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Nepal, China, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Spain, and Morocco. While in these countries, my team will be partnering with local churches and ministries to serve in areas of need.
I am beyond grateful for this opportunity. God has placed it on my heart to take part in fulfilling the Great Commission – to go and make disciples of all nations. I want to be the hands and feet of Jesus in these places that don’t always have the opportunity to hear the truth of the gospel. I want to see the realness and rawness of the world. Living where I do, I can become numb to brokenness, life without privilege, and the lack of freedom to choose what to believe and what to do with my life. Each month will look a little different. Overall, we will be sharing the gospel with those who want to hear, praying for the sick, and spending time doing life with these people. I know that as much as I will be sharing and pouring into these individuals, the Lord will also be using them to love and inspire me. I can’t wait to share the love of Jesus with the people who need it most.
There are two goals I need to accomplish as I prepare for this trip and I’d like to ask for your help. The first goal is to create a prayer team. Prayer is most important as this invites God into these places to move. If you would like to be updated on how you can be praying for my team, please send me an email ([email protected]). The second part in preparing for this trip is support raising. The total cost of this trip is $18,700, which includes the costs of training, travel, lodging, food, and other necessities while abroad. This cost is overwhelming, but I know that God has called me to this and he is faithful to provide. I trust that where God guides, God provides. This is a unique opportunity and I am hopeful that you are willing to step into this with me. I believe that if you are able to help support me in my travels, God will bless you in your giving. I know that God wants to bless me in this trip and I believe he wants to do so in your life too.
