Something the Lord has granted me is vision to see royalty. The word royalty is assiocated with people of high status and riches. Our culture often places individuals into great signifance. These people have ulitmate access to fame, glamour, and the high life. However, God has a completely different idea of royalty.
God has opened my heart and eyes to the vision of His Princes and Princesses that live in Teguc. Its been my heart set to seek out these amazing people. My prayer starting the World Race was to have vision for what God is needing from meto bless His kingdom. He said “Remind my sons and daugthers they are worth more than rubies and pearls. Let them know theyare royalty in my eyes.”
It is a whole new passion in me to seek out these treasures of the Lord. It wasn’t long til God reveal to me hisbeautiful jewel named Maria. She is a shy twenty three year old young lady. She came across my path one day along theside of the road as I was working on the property. The Holy Spirit crashed over me and said “Go pray for her now.” Ihave the tendency to hesitate. But the Holy Spirit is loud and moving so it didn’t settle until I caved in. I grabbed myteammate Erica to translate for me. We began to introduce ourselves and soon Maria began to open up. She delievers thenewspaper from Teguc. She walks everyday miles upon miles up the mountain. Her boyfriend of seven years died almost a yearago leaving her and their two little girls. She became a mom at the age of 14. The pain in her eyes was still so fresh as she shared her story to us. We talked about the Gates of Zion ministries and invited her to attend church with us that Sunday. She had a big smile and we asked if we could pray over her. Maria has stopped by our property everyday since our meeting. We bless her with encouragement and hugs. God has a deep love for his daughter Maria. I always look at her now with my heart so full of joy. I see her how God sees her. A Princess.
I’ve encountered many others since who are so rich and beautiful. Carmen, an amazing woman we met during street ministry. She has a huge love affair with the Lord. She was full of encouragement to us. Carmen was so happy to see us out in Honduras spreading the bright love of God. We showered her with hugs and blessings. God made a way for great conversation. As we prayed for her healing of her stomach illness, she began to cry. I knew in that moment she was a keepsake of the Lord’s. His grand prize. His Beloved. God has healed Carmen I know it without a doubt. He has a crazy love for her.
Oscar. A wanderer of Teguc. He got my attention as I saw him approaching people begging for money. The Holy Spirit got meantsy once again until I moved in action. I bought him a hamburger from a near by food vendor and grab the boys to tag along. Oscar’s face lit up as I handed him the bag of food. I just smiled and said God wants to remind you he’s constantlythinking of you. I want to bless you today. Oscar quickly opened up about his family and daughters that live far away. We couldn’t wait to pray to over him for great blessings! Oscar was missing an arm from the elbow down. Well, God’s kingdom is here on Earth.. We’re praying for you a new arm! My prayers were furious declarations of healing but also for this man to see his identity with God. For him to see himself as royalty. After the prayer I looked up and saw a completely different man standing there. God gave me his eyes. Oscar is prestigious property of God. A Prince.
Dump ministry is where we go share minstry with the people who work or live at the city dump of Teguc. Talk about wreckingmy heart! It was the most overwhelming experience I’ve had in my life. It took me 20 to 30 minutes to process what I was seeingall around me. Hundreds of people digging through miles of garbage as far as I could see. There were sounds, smells, animals ofall kinds that made me so sick to my stomach. The people were dressed in rags with scarves wrapped around their faces. It was extremely intimidating getting off the bus to this “foreign” place. I felt so vulnerable. But I was focused on one thing finding the treasure the Lord wanted me to pursue. I met Eeves. A bold, spirited twenty two year old man. I knew the moment he introduced himself the Lord was in him. He was so filled with love and joy in the midst of this darkness. Eeves shared his testimony so openly. Growing up he was distant from the Lord. He used a lot of drugs and was involved with violence. One evening a few years ago Eeves was out late and was at the wrong place at the wrong time. He was shot five times all over his body. He was pronounced dead. However, Eeves said the Lord spoke to him and ask Eeves what did he want Heaven or Hell? Eeves chose Heaven and the Lord breathed a second opportunity at life. Eeves works long days at the dump sorting recycled items to make money to support himself and his family. After he shared his story, I paused and the Lord placed a word for him on my heart. “Eeves the Lord is calling you to ministry. You know deep inside there is more than here. He has extraordinary plans for you. You need to leave this place and walk in your true destiny.” He had a huge smile on his face and said the Lord has been speaking to him. Another girl in our group had a similar message for him as well. WOW! AN AMAZING JEWEL WAS HIDDEN IN THE DUMP! The Lord just needed someone to search for it!! The Lord is a living breathing storm for His loved ones. He will chase you down and give you life no matter what the costs. Even if it takes some random white American missionary all the way from Arkansas to find this one man at this specific time to tell him to walk in his destiny! What an incredible love He has for us!
