We made it to Malaysia! It's feeling unreal that it is month 7 and our last month in Asia, next month we are off to Kenya, Africa!

We knew so little when we flew into Malaysia. When we arrived we stayed at a hostel for two days in Kuala Lamper with the entire squad of 44, explored the city which seems more like Los Angeles or Chicago than a third world country. Until we got outside of the city, it felt much closer to World Race standards.

This month is WOManistry, which really is every month for our all girls team, but this month we have three more girls from another team joining us. Katrina(who was on my first team), Emma, and Kearston. These girls are incredible. I am so excited to have them with us, they are so laid back and much quieter than the 5 of us. I think it will be so great to see the influence that we all have with each other. If I haven't told you yet our team is the smallest and probably the loudest on the squad (they make me look quiet)!

Today we arrived at a girls home where we will be staying for the month. They have 12 girls from the ages of 5-17 that live in this three bedroom home in a suburb outside of Kuala Lampur. Now add our 8 girls to their 12 and we have 20 girls living in 3 bedrooms, sharing 2 bathrooms and doing life together for the next month. We get to help them with homework and their english along with learning their customs. We meet with the pastor of the church that is hosting us tomorrow to find out what we will working on this month. I love that we are living so close to eachother, as I look around tonight Caitlyn is playing the guitar, Emma is journaling, Katrina, Erica, and Kearston are playing cards and Leanna is downstairs helping one of the girls with their homework. Oh, and Heather is learning how to shower from a bucket, she missed our Cambodia tutorial 🙂 Bathrooms here have a toilet and a big bucket under a spout. Typically they do not have sinks or showers, it makes showers more of an event than a monotonous daily 5 minute tradition.

I promise to send more of an update soon, we don't have internet this month so my communication will be more limited to when we take a bus into the city.
I love you all!
