Hi all!
I am sitting in LAX airport along with about 30 teammates! I've never seen so many bags! Our flight is at 12:50am and we will be getting into Antigua, Guatemala at 6:30am. Our terminal is buzzing with excitement, laughter and lots of hugs. All of these beautiful people that I spent such an intimate week with at training camp in July, they are about to become my family.
Wow, I don't know if it has really set in that within hours we will all be leaving the US for 11 months!
Logan and I made the drive to L.A. last night, we were filled with so much joy and appreciation to our GREAT GOD for blessing our lives in such an unfathomable way. I still cannot believe that I get to spend the next year traveling the world and sharing Christ's love! I can't believe that this is my life and my job! And as of the night before I left Yuma, I am FULLY FUNDED!! The Lord has blessed me with all of you, my incredible family and friends who have sent me on this mission… spiritually, physically and financially. When thank you doesn't feel like enough, from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU! I love you!
Sitting at the beach today we read 2 Peter, and in the end of chapter 3 Peter tells us:
"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen."
The discipline of God frees us from the old sinful and enslaving way where we always expect to have our own way. Then we will be free to pursue instead what God wants for us. So there is great and rich freedom in being free from expecting our own way!
I love you all and will miss you so much! Thank you for being my prayer warriors, I feel more blessed and loved than I could ever deserve!
Next post from Antigua, Guatemala!
