wow. only two more weeks of india and then we are off to Costa Rica. our time on the race is starting to really fly by and it has made me become really thankful for every little moment of it. cherishing every team time, random ministry assignment, and weird food.
i haven’t had wifi in a while. so sorry for the lack of updates. also, it is just so hard to figure out how to sum up the last month or two of my life. so bare with me here.
the last couple of months have probably been the hardest so far. i have had little to no contact with family and have been missing them so much.
sometimes all i want is a home cooked meal or a warm shower.
and some days the enemy’s lies sound louder than the Lords truth and it’s easier to choose to listen to those instead.
nevertheless, the Lord has been so good. so cool. so faithful.
he has been walking me through what it looks like to be completely dependent on him and to not put my security in other people. every month on this race has grown me in surrendering more of my identity to Him and i’ve never felt more secure yet free.
he has also blessed me with such sweet friendships this past month in the village we just traveled from. the hospitality of the people in this country is so inspiring, something i really want to carry back to america. seriously, nearly everyone i met would always invite us in for tea and sometimes a meal. they were so generous.
a lot of our ministry in this past village was building relationships with locals. we got to go into many homes, pray over many families, and simply build real life friendships with these people. i already miss them so much. i saw God show up in conversations, through healings, and in the way he was just so present within that community.
in addition, we also had the opportunity to help in a couple different schools, which were christian but most of the students and teachers were not. so we were able to talk and sing about Jesus with them. such a incredible opportunity. every sunday we got to go to a local church service and encourage the body of believers. some days were for interceding on behalf of the people, whom so many are either Hindu or Muslim. lastly, every couple of days our team would take turns helping in the kitchen to serve the squad. those were some days full of lots of laughter and lots of potatoes.
please be praying for the rest of our time in india and for our Parent Vision Trip next week. yes!! my mom comes in a week!! 🙂
keeping you all in my prayers. thank you again for reading this and supporting me.
much love
