Hey ya’ll, I honestly can’t believe I’m here! This has been a long journey, I have been blessed with an amazing opportunity. I have been blessed that I get to be vulnerable for 9 whole months serving in 3 of His countries! The Lord spoke to me clearly about this trip! I have been blessed, with a very missional mindset and heart, I’m always looking for opportunity to serve the less fortunate. I have been blessed, with the Lord directing my path speaking to me about my career calling which is student ministry. I’m hoping through this trip that the Lord will speak to me on next steps to achieve His will for me.
This is my story.
So how did the Lord speak to me about this trip??
It was December of 2018 and I had just went on a mission’s trip in July, and I was still harvesting the fruit from that trip. Like I said above, I have a missional mindset and I’m always sensitive to the Lord’s spiritual nudgings on where He wants me to serve next. I was casually scrolling on Facebook, note: I had already been thinking, asking, and talking to the Lord about a greater challenge missionally. As I was scrolling on Facebook I came across the World Race: Gap Year. They were promoting for the year 2019. When I saw this my spirit leaped, the desire ignited like an instant blazing fire that felt like it couldn’t be put out. The adrenaline and excitement were like voracious fireworks popping out my soul! I was ready. I immediately told my mom, and we both started to pray for confirmation and clarity. As the months went on and we continued to pray, the Lord made it crystal clear that World Race:2019 was a no go. Of course I was crushed, but I had no choice but to trust Him. Remarkably, I had this un-explainable peace in my spirit. Yet, the desire was still simmering, it never left. Fast forward to about May of 2019, I was doing my daily time with the Lord and as I was praying He spoke to me about the World Race. He told me that year 2020 was my year. Unbelievably, the simmering desire came to an instant boil, and again I told my mom and we heavily started to pray. The fact that I have a profile, a blog, and a button for y’all to donate (wink, wink) shows obviously that this truly is His plan. He continues to confirm through other miraculous ways.
