As most of you know, I am in the process of trying to still fundraise the rest of the $18,100 I need to be able to stay on the field. I am currently at $11,732 which means I still need $6,368.

To say that is a lot of money is no joke and I would be lying to say that I could get that money on my own. I have learned over this whole fundraising journey that money is just a small part of fundraising. I learned that in order to fundraise I had to allow people to walk along side me in my journey of the World Race. I had to open up and be vulnerable about where I am financially. I tried doing it on my own and failed miserably. Like really bad, it was not a pretty sight. I was so overwhelmed by the enormous number that I had to fundraise that I forgot about the journey along the way. I was so fixated on an amount I forgot to let God, my family and friends and others into the journey.

All of this to say, yes I still have over $6,000 to raise and need to do my part but I am enjoying sitting back and watching my great and powerful God break down the walls, barriers and parts of uncertainty and disbelief I have been holding onto when He provides.

Story Time:
Month 3 of my race in Jamaica I received an email from my squad mentor, Megan, saying that I needed to have $10,000 by the end of my month in Jamaica to be able to to stay on the field. Needless to say I was upset because I still feel like this is where the Lord wants me. Instead of freaking out like I normally would, I took this to God. I laid my fear, worry, frustration, confusion and all around not knowing where this money would come from at His feet. And in less than a week, $4,000 had been raised. Family, friends, my dad’s generous employer, Diane and Ted Gunning, people I have never met and anonymous donations allowed me to stay on the field.

So here I am again, needing to raise the last $6,368 to be able to stay on the field and I am so thankful to have a God who knows what I need and is going to work it out. This is only one story of too many stories I could tell of His goodness, mercy, power and love that pours out on me. Fundraising for me isn’t easy, in fact it is one of my least favorite things I get to do on this trip. I have learned and continue to learn so much through this process though. One of the biggest tips I have learned, is that people want to support what I am doing – I just have to give them the opportunity to know about it. I can’t deny someone the choice to donate or not. People really are truly good and generous.

So a HUGE THANK YOU to each and every person that has donated! I can literally say I wouldn’t be here without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are an answer to my prayers. With your support I have seen lives changed, people accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, local ministries changing communities and the power of the Holy Spirit move like never before. There have been more prayers answered than I could count, relationships mended, I have learned the way a smile can affect someone and so much more. With your support, you are changing lives, communities and adding names into the book of life!

If you would like to partner with me in the work God is calling me to, click the donate button on the home screen of my blog. All donations are tax deductible and 100% of your donation goes to my trip. I also would ask for prayer. I have learned how important, NO VITAL, prayer is in the life of a follower of Christ. So please join me in prayer that the people who the Lord has laid upon their hearts to donate do. Also if you could share this blog on facebook so that others can know what I am doing and join in prayer and support as well. I will also be starting a t-shirt fundraiser to raise support for my trip. So if you would like to purchase a t-shirt I designed for this trip… it will be coming next week!

Thank you again for your generous support, you are changing the lives of so many. You have forever changed my life. I love you, am praying for you and can’t thank you enough. Please let me know how I can be praying for you specifically.

Until All The World Is Free,
