Hi!!!
Currently just sitting around the din table, thinking about how dang blessed I am.
It’s 9:30 pm, so far tonight has consisted of tears, laughter, some blood (awe bay), lots of loud popping from balloons (thanks bryce aka b-swag), cards, cooking, aloe plants, dancing, learning more about each other’s lives, crinkles, and so, so much more.
This is how a regular night looks here in Jaco. All of us just hanging out 🙂
Today I woke up naturally at 5:50 am, which I was like awe shoot. But also, thank ya Jesus, because it gave me extra time to look through my prayer journal. I decided to flip through previous months, long before the trip. It made me smile to look back and read my prayers that I had written about this trip. As I read the prayers, I had asked the Lord to build deep relationships with people on my squad. It made my heart so joyful to read that, God really answered my prayers. The people He’s placed in my life have been such a blessing.

I thought I’d introduce you to my team that I get to do life with 3 months!!
Baylee:
Bay! Bay has such a sweet soul and is always there to uplift you when you need it. Always down to go to the store with me, or anywhere:) Here’s a pic from one of my fav moments. We went to the store to get cheeto puffs and then we watched the sunset and just chatted about life. Bay never hesitates to take on any challenge or volunteer for any role, she has such a servants heart that I admire. Baylee brings so much love, leadership, and confidence to our group and I love her with my whole heart.
Lindsey:
Lou! Lou is one of those people who make you feel like home. Right away I felt so comfortable around her. She makes you feel so worthy, and just loves others so well!! Lou never fails to make me laugh and I know I could spend hours on hours on end with her and we’d never run out of things to talk about. Anyone Lou comes across leaves happier because she just has that affect, imma call it the sunshine affect:) I’m so thankful for her and her love for Christ shines through her, everyday. I love her a whole lotta. God really said *chefs kiss* with her.
Morgan:
Morg! My roomie!!! Ahh God really blessed me with this one. The Lord knew I needed her in my life and just every single conversation we’ve had, especially right before bed. Morg and I will always say we’re going to bed, but end up staying up hours on end just talking about life, Jesus, and ya know the typical girl things. Morgan makes me feel so loved, and I’m so grateful for her. She has a heart that longs for Jesus and I love her SO hecking much.
Chelsea:
Chels!!! Chels is such a light for the Lord. Oh my atlanta!!! Oh golly gee!! haha Chels is from Canada so her lingo is so fun. I’ve never been around anyone, who has their life so centered on Christ, as much as Chels. She is constantly pushing me towards the Lord and I’m just so thankful for her faith, as well as the love that pours out of her. I love our bathroom convos and just doing life with her. Chels always tells me “I love you and so does Jesus, goodnight lovey.” Pretty much long story short, i love her!!
Sara Beth:
SB! Sara Beth is one of the strongest people I have ever met. Sara Beth opened up her heart right away, and helped the rest of us learn how vulnerability is such a beautiful thing. She cares so deeply for others, and loves everyone so well. Sara Beth brought something so special to our squad, although it was so hard to see her go home today. We all know it’s what best for her and her heart, we all love you SB
Lauren:
Lauren’s nickname is still TBD, we have had some ideas such as Renny or Lo 🙂 But Lauren is the best, she’s our leader and we are truly so blessed to have her. Lauren wraps us in her love, kindness and patience. Lauren leads us to Christ so well. She welcomes our rollercoaster of emotions and gives us space to be vulnerable. I learn something new from her everyday. The Lord really knew what He was doing when he put all of us emotional girls on her team. Lauren is a safe space and we love her so big.
Audrey:
AJ! My home girl. Audrey is just the best. We love to dab together. She is absolutely hilarious and can make me laugh any second of the day. Audrey also has such a caring heart. AJ and I can sit for hours and hours just talking and I always leave feeling so refreshed. She fills my cup up. She always knows exactly what to say and offers the best advice:) I’m so thankful for the bond we created right from the start. I love her muy mucho.
Kara:
Cailou! Kara’s nickname is also a work in progress, lol. But Kara is such a kind and gentle soul. Kara’s personality is straight gold. Fun fact about Kara, she knows the name of almost every actor/actress and the name of every single movie. She knows a bunch of random facts about every single country that is Spanish speaking. But most importantly she knows how to walk EXACTLY like Meredith Grey, haha. Kara meets people where they are and has a loving heart. I! love! her!
This is Team Saff!!
We got our name from Blue Sapphire, which our leader got in a vision from the Lord. We’re not exactly sure what the Lord’s going to do with that, but we’re excited to see!!
Team Rice and Beans is the other half of our squad, which I also love SO much. Altogether there’s around 19 of us, and each person is just the most swag.
