Hey there everyone!

In light of the current theme, I thought eleven facts about me would be a good place to start!

One: I was born in Akron, Ohio but grew up in Leavenworth, Washington. I loved living in such a small town, with beautiful mountains surrounding it.  I couldn’t be more grateful for all the experiences that God blessed me with there. I then moved to Arlington, in order to go to college, several years ago.

Two: I have 8 boys that I call brothers! Yes, that makes me the only girl among 8 boys, & I couldn’t be more grateful. There are 4 older and 4 younger & they all challenge & teach me in so many ways! We play video games, run, hike, eat (they are huge foodies), watch movies, & they challenge me every day!

Three:As I said above, I love the mountains! I am super into backpacking, hiking, & climbing, anything outdoors I am game! Which is why being an employee at REI is literally the coolest job ever! I love getting to meet new people and hear about the adventures they are going on or have taken. My co-worker are super great people & I love that I have friends to fall back on to do the things I love!!  I am also a runner, currently training for my first half marathon!

Four:I am a nanny! I currently nanny two amazing girls, Mikayla & Bella, & I could never have imagined that they would have such a large part of my heart. Ever since I can remember, God has placed in me a love for working with children, I grew up babysitting for lots of families, & would love to pursue a career that included working with children.

Five: College! I have my AA, I attended college right after high school & had really wanted to become a doctor but quickly realized I was doing it for all the wrong reasons. So I decided to get my AA and focus on enjoying what God’s calling for my life was instead of worrying how much money I could be making. I do really want to work in medicine, and especially concerning children & have a belief that God could be calling me to pediatric nursing in the future.

Six: This last summer one of my closest friends, Dana, & I backpacked Europe, just the two of us. I couldn’t be more amazed with how God guided us. We travelled to 6 different countries: Ireland, Paris, Rome, Athens, London, & Scotland, in that order. It was my first time on my own, with travelling; I had never really been out of the USA except for a mission trip that I went on the year before to Belize. I truly couldn’t be more grateful that God gave me an amazing traveling partner. Without her I am sure I would have flown back home so quick & freaked out a million times more than we did.

Seven: I really don’t like sweets, just not a huge fan!  I should also say that I am lactose sensitive so that has always had an effect, making me a little sick when eating ice cream & chocolate. However, I do love eating cereal for dessert, especially out of fun mugs, oh & red gummy bears!

Eight:Tying into fact number seven, I love Starbuck’s You Are Here mugs, they are the perfect size for soup & cereal. And the colors are just so pretty! So far I have 6 that my dad & uncle have brought back from business trips. I only get the ones from the states that I have been too!

Nine:I love photography!  Growing up in such a beautiful place, I always wanted to capture the moment. I ended up taking a few classes in college and really fell in love with it, I really like that I can take a picture of something with my own view and then have someone give their input and perspective of it too.

Ten:I grew up working at a summer camp in Washington, called Tall Timber Ranch, it’s the most beautiful place to get to worship God & work with children outside!!! I loved being able to learn so much from the kids. As it often turned out, they taught me more then I taught them! I worked there throughout high school and then 3 years on summer staff during college, 2 years I counseled and the 3rd year I was the secretary. I have had so many amazing times that I talked to God & felt his presence there; it truly is the place I grew the most in my faith and in my walk with Him.

eleven: I don’t brush my hair nor do I own a hair brush! I haven’t since I was a junior in high school. I have really soft hair so it just doesn’t need to be brushed, which is the best cause I also don’t wear any kind of make-up, I just get to sleep in longer, & I love sleeping!
