I came across this and wanted to share. I originally wrote it January 19th, 2014!

Just got off the phone with my dad telling him all of the exciting things God is doing and orchestrating in my life. The World Race. Possibly starting a small business. Dedicating my photography for His purposes. Basically all of the things that are on my heart. I shared with him how I have no clue career wise what I’ll be doing. I don’t know how my passion to travel the world using photography and storytelling to share the love of Jesus equates to an actual job. I don’t know how to sit down and plan for 5 years from now. My brain hurts just thinking about it. All I know is God has given me a burning desire to serve Him. He has promised to be with me every step of the way therefore I should not fear. He has promised to supply all of my needs. He has promised to protect me and sooooo much more. Yet telling this to my dad I thought about how crazy I sounded. Haha! What do you mean you don’t have a plan?  What on earth are you doing with your life? Following some man you can’t even see. How about you wake up and realize that your 25 years old now honey and it’s time to women up and get your stuff together. No more living in this fantasy world.

BUT GOD!!!!

And so the tears began. In that moment God so confirmed that I WAS NOT CRAZY! That what He has called me to in this life is not fantasy but reality. That though I can’t see Him as this world understands sight I see Him when I wake up blessed to see another day, I see Him when I lay eyes on His beautiful creation, I see Him when my friends send me the right words of encouragement at just the right time, I see Him when prayers are answered and some not. I see Him when I witness the crazy insane things He is doing in others lives. I am getting my stuff together. I am awake and alive. Jesus has given me life and by laying it down for Him I’ve got my stuff together. The best place you can ever find yourself is right in the center of His will. Unemployed. No clue what tomorrow holds. Not having all the answers but standing completely on faith in who Jesus is is quite alright with me!

So for my own recollection when things get cloudy again I wanted to list out those things I am not crazy to believe…

-I’m not crazy to believe that my faith in Jesus is real.

-I’m not crazy to believe in every single one of His promises in His word?

-I’m not crazy to believe that God has given me a heart for missions and a heart for Africa.

-I’m not crazy to believe that God has given me photography for His glory?

-I’m not crazy to believe that I’ve been called to the World Race

-I’m not crazy to believe that the Holy Spirit is AMMMMMAAAZING!!!?

-I’m not crazy to believe in supernatural healings and deliverance ministries.

-I’m not crazy to believe for my friends the things God is doing in their lives even when it makes absolutely no sense what so ever!!

And either are YOU! Jesus is real. Alive. Active in all our lives. Cling to your faith not letting the worlds standards and opinions snatch it away from you!
