Can we talk? Well, can I talk to you? I’m gonna ask you to just be quiet for a second. Quiet the T.V. in the background. Turn off the music. Turn off the world.
This has been something that has been heavy on my heart. And I REALLY want you to read this and soak it in.
So, before we start– let’s giv e it to God!
*Lord, will you take this blog? Will you make it yours? Will your Holy Spirit sing so loudly through our souls that we have no other choice but to believe in Your will? May this not be an ounce of me, but an overflowing of you. I praise you for your proactive ways. I praise you for being intentional in our lives. Remind us that you care about it all. Less of me and more of you. In your Son’s name I pray– Amen*

Wow, that is so great that you are going on a journey!
You are so courageous!
You are such a brave person!
I wish I could do be like you.
You want to know what’s so amazing about the World Race?
It’s not the traveling.
It’s not the countries.
It’s not the people.
It’s not the adventure.
It’s not the relationships.
It’s not the off days.
It’s not the sightseeing.
It’s not the buildup.
It’s not the dreams being met.
It’s not the break from America.
It’s not the different landscapes that my eyes will be in awe over.
It’s not the growing.
It’s not the sacrifice.
It’s not the answers.
It’s not the questions.
It’s not the stamps on my passport.
It’s not the long days.
It’s not the short days.
It’s not the laughs.
It’s not the tears.
It’s not any of that.
What’s so amazing about the World Race is that the Lord called me to it.
That’s what makes it amazing.
It’s the Lord’s will.
What I am doing is only incredible and so special because it has been stamped on my life by the Creator of the Universe. That is what is so incredible.
It has NOTHING to do with all of that other stuff. That other stuff is the cherry on top that the Lord puts on there. Those extra things that spring from being in the Lord’s will are because HE is incredible, not because IT is incredible.
Because had you been on my bed the night I poured out my heart and every last tear I had—you would have seen the kicking and the screaming. The what-ifs. The Are-You-Sure? The UhButIDontWanna. You would have seen the 3 year old Kendra ticked off that someone just stole her lollipop and she’s gonna kick and scream and straight freak out. That’s what you would have seen.
I’ll say it again… the most beautiful part about the World Race is that it is the Lord’s will.
So can you do me a favor?
If you aren’t, will you pray about it?
Can you figure out if you are where the Lord wants you?
If you are—will you realize you are in the most BEAUTIFUL place that you could possibly be. The most INCREDIBLE journey awaits you. The most INTIMATE relationship with God is YOURS. The most AMAZING moments are going to come. THOSE incredible moments, ARE YOURS. Find them.
So whether you are a single momma, a stay at home mother, a working father, an in between jobs dad, a college student, a high school student, playing ball or sitting on the bench–wherever you are praise the Lord for bringing you to the most beautiful place you could be.
In those small hidden places– find the joy. In those small quiet moments, hear the shouts of praise. In those still whispers–fill your heart with gratitude.
If you are in the Lord’s will, no matter what that looks like, you are incredible. You are brave. You are wonderful.
So, to those who are being obedient to the Lord,
That’s so awesome that you’re doing something so incredible.

So, standing up as the REAL BEAUTY is the Lord’s will.
