Recently, God has opened my eyes to an opportunity I can not miss out on. I have always felt called to travel and immerse myself into diverse cultures throughout the Lord’s kingdom. With great thought, I have decided that before my college career begins, I would like to take this opportunity to serve others. After much prayer, I have been accepted to The World Race Gap Year program. I have a strong desire to disciple to others and I believe this program will give me the opportunity to grow in my faith. Introducing people to Christianity and showing them how to walk in the path of Christ is something I continually feel called to do. This program will have a lifelong impact on my spirituality and help lead me towards my future path.

With the help of my family, I have decided Gap year route four was the best next step for me. This route is a 9 month long journey through Costa Rica, Cambodia, and Swaziland (Africa), spending 3 months in each destination. I will be traveling to these countries with about thirteen other 18-20 year olds who I will be working along side throughout our mission. Our typical week will consist of six working days and one personal day. Although this is a long mission, all of our personal belongings will be packed into a backpack, including my tent. In some communities my team will be sleeping in homes provided by host families and other nights we will be pitching our tents. my mission work during the Gap year will consist of teaching English to children, mentoring orphans, building houses, and churches, while spreading the gospel.

I believe the World race will give me the opportunity to grow my faith and spread the good news to those in need. Would you please consider joining my team by investing in this mission?(For your records, this is a tax deductible, non-profit donation) I will be so grateful for every single prayer and dollar given. I know God is going to provide just what I need through friends and family like you.
