My room:

Welcome! My room consists of a concrete floor, a mattress, and mosquito net. I love my floral sheets they provided me with, they make me feel at home!

Ministry:

This month ministry has been great. We stayed busy but we also had plenty of time to rest and to spend together as a team. Our ministry has ranged from door to door evangelism, preaching at a conference in the bush, praying for people at a hospital, preaching in a prison, and teaching 200 Ugandan school kids.

Door to door Evangelism

Our first week consisted of house visits. We would try our best to make it to every house in the village. Once we arrived at a house we would introduce ourselves and share the gospel with them. Many of the people in Uganda are Muslim.

We shared the Gospel with the woman holding the baby, she accepted Jesus!

Me, Rach, and Jill just finishing up with door to door ministry for the day.

Preaching in the bush

Our conference in the bush. My 4 teammates and I grab our bibles and take a van about 2 hours away to the middle of nowhere. During the two day conference we each preach both days. We spend time worshipping, praying, and sharing things we are thankful for. The very last day we definitely weren't ready for what was about to take place. At the end of service Pastor Tomas asks people to come forward if they need prayer. Instead of him praying for them all at once he tells all of the local pastors and my team to come pray for them.

Since everything was being said in the local language, with only bits being translated back to us, the local pastors knew more about what was going on so they jumped in first. Next thing I know benches are being thrown, women are screaming, and an old lady even raises her fist at my teammate. It didn't take long for us all to realize this wasn't your typical American church altar call for prayer. These women were all manifesting demons. Without further hesitation we began to fight in prayer for these women.

Hospital visits

Every Saturday we walk to the town hospital to pray for men, women, and children.

Teaching

Our second week here we taught at Pastor Tomas' school

Everyday we would travel to and from the school on motorcycles. It can be a little frightening but your always in for a beautiful ride.

A-Team with our students

What your support has done:

Many of the students didn't have pencils or notebooks to do their classwork with. This month with your support we had enough money in our budget to purchase notebooks, pencils, and suckers for all 200 of our students.

Each student received 4 notebooks, 2 pencils, and a sucker thanks to you!

What's next:

After 3 of us finding out we have malaria and typhoid we have left our ministry location and traveled to a larger city to get rest and to have a thorough blood test by another doctor. We are all beginning to feel much better and will be good to go to Bangkok, Thailand in 4 days.

Thank you for all your prayers.
