” He loads the clouds with moisture and they flash with his lightning. The clouds churn about at his direction. They do whatever he commands throughout the earth. He makes these things happen either to punish people or to show his unfailing love.” Job 37:11-13

“Grace like rain falls down on me”

February 6,2010 (event occured)

How many rainstorms have you witnessed in your lifetime? How many rainstorms have you danced around in-praising, dancing, and shouting out to your creator? How many rainstorms have you exprienced that changed your relationship with your creator? For me I can now say I have experience one in Byron Bay, Australia!

Last night we joined together in praise and worship, when all of a sudden the clouds opened up and the rain started falling. When I say falling I mean FALLING it was the most forceful wind I have ever experienced ( remember I grew up in the hurricane state of florida too). The thunder was forceful and the lightening illuminated the sky. It was the most beautiful storm I have ever seen. For the first time I didn’t just see it as a storm though but as God having a conversation with us. We were crying out to him with our voices and our dancing in the rain and he was responding back to us through the thunder and the lightening.

In the verse above it states that he does these things to either show his punishment to his people or to show his unfailing love. Last night I was experiencing his unfailing love and his tears through each rain drop that fell down my face. All I could do was stand there in awe of his powerful presence. Reminding myself that my creator is powerful enough to control the skies. He loves us enough to chose to speak to us through the thunder and the lightening.

After worship a local pastor that was near by knew we were tenting and came by and offered to take us in shift in his van to his church to stay the night. It was a huge blessing because the rain continued to come down till 9:30 the next morning.
