This is really happening.
Wow ya’ll, let me go ahead and warn you, be careful what you pray for, cause God is really listening!
I have just moved from Houston, TX to Nacogdoches, TX, into the deep deep East Texas culture, to attend college. Meeting new people, making new friends, learning how to adapt in this “adult” life has been crazy. Life, it’s crazy.
Just as I thought that things weren’t crazy enough, God has called me to the World Race Gap Year. A chance to really say, “.. here am I, send me!” Isaiah 6:8. This is the pray I prayed coming into this new adventure. After praying for a long time, God answered. A worker from Adventures in Missions would not quit calling me, asking me if I had signed up yet for The World Race Gap Year. Who would have ever thought this “annoying” person was God answering my prayer! So, finally I said what the heck, and I signed up for the World Race!
I will be leaving next September!
Already, through this process, I have seen that what I want to do is not “What God Will Do” and what a privilege it is to serve God.
But, what has really stuck out to me these last few weeks is what God has already done for us. He died on the cross for our sins. If he can do that for me, I can offer just 9 months to fully devote my life to him. No more sitting around, It’s time to go!
There will be more to come about this race, but before I go, what will YOU do for the Lord? It may not be the World Race, in fact, it probably won’t be, but I encourage everyone who is reading this to really ask God what YOUR next step is!
Isiah 6:8 “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go with us?” And I said “Here am I Send ME!”
