Hey There!

There is this new song that I have absolutely fallen in love with! “What A Beautiful Name It Is” -Hillsong. It is so simple, but every word that is sung is so true. How beautiful his name is and how beautiful it is to get to worship him.

It’s like this huge wave of emotions and excitement comes over me when I begin talking to people about the World Race. I have spent countless hours doing research on the countries I will be visiting, and what the culture is like and how the people react to certain things. My heart longs to see these people and share the Gospel with them and show them the Love of God. This excitement is so loud and exhilarating that it’s like I just want to take it out of me and give it to other people, and say “HEY YOU!!!! (Yes, I’m “yelling.”) Guess what? God love’s YOU!.” (Weird, I know, but when you have the love of God inside you, you just want EVERYONE to feel the way you do.)

So there is this thing, $15000, that’s what I need to go on this trip. When I tell people that I need this much money they literally look at me like I have a brain injury. Also, I love saying that I will be gone for 9 months, taking a break from school to go share the Gospel. That one always get’s people. So I began to think about this. Maybe it does sound crazy, not just sound, but maybe it is crazy.

**Insert break here to go to work.**

….

*6 hours later..*

Yes, the entire idea is crazy. But see, God did something even more amazing for us. I think taking 9 months out of my schedule is okay, I mean after all Jesus died on the cross for my sins. “Where your love ran red.” -Chris Tomlin. I absolutely love this line because God’s love for us meant him dying, taking on my sins, taking on so much more. That’s how much God loves me and it continues to show EVERYDAY! Ya’ll God is so amazing. But wait, God didn’t stay dead for long. He rose and is a living God. I serve a living God. I serve a God who is almighty and powerful. I serve a God who is worth the $15000 and 9 months off. So when people begin to look at me crazy all I have to say is “Well I serve a crazy good God.”

I absolutely love 1 Timothy 4:9-13. “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching.”

That’s all. God Bless!
