Training camp is a place where…
…Comfort zones don’t exist. Hygiene, eating habits, personal space, physical activity, worship, prayer, and creativity are all pushed to its limits.
…Team building activities break you. Surfacing insecurities, you forgot even existed. If denied, amplified to hurt more, to own up to them quicker.
…Broken is a regular state of being. Feeling our weakness strengthen Him inside our chest as our heart beats at a different rhythm. Stronger.
…Letting go of control is your only option. No electronics, no comfort foods, no schedule.
…Initiation happens. Into an uncomfortable kind of family where everyone puts their vulnerabilities out in the open, all the time.
…Being a black sheep is normal. Having fallen short a prerequisite. Community like Ive never experienced before.
…Faith is not just knowing what scripture reads. It’s trusting He provides everything. Our daily bread, weather it is food or knowledge. It’s all Him.
…Daddys presence is felt. Feeling his touch, hearing his voice, and seeing visions are strengthened like a muscle.
…Rhythms for a committed Christian life is discipled by example. Examples from real life missionaries who’ve seen Jesus heal the sick and raise the dead with their own naked eyes.
...Accepting Christ as our identity is decided. Shattering all weaker identities that stop us from stepping into the living Kingdom of God.
Training camp taught me 3 powerful lessons. God is good. He wants the best for us. He wont ever stop doing work in us.
I learned these simple truths in the backwoods of Georgia. What will I learn during 11 months in the darkest corners of the world?
