YES YOU CAN! I exclaimed, as I stared into the hearts and souls of 700 Colonial High School Seniors, telling them of a soaring eagle who realized it wasn’t a chicken like it always believed it was since birth. That they, just like the eagle, needed to realize they would never fill the void in their stomachs by pecking at the floor, merely focusing on the small things, but by diving down from the skies and ripping off the heads of rabbits and feeling full for once by devouring their guts.

This was one of the many stories I told them to get their juices flowing so they could receive the message of breaking rotten paradigms!  I also told them about the Ferocious Barracuda and Baby Spanish Mackerel, Robert Bannister breaking the 4 minute mile, the lab mice that swam for 27 hours, elephants that are held back by pencils, and many more including where my dream came from of freeing my parents from financial restraints forever.

I gave my speech 4 times to over 2,200 students that day from 8am to noon. After each speech I wanted to keel over and sleep on the floor because of how much energy each speech took out of me. The only reason I was able to perform time after time was because of the students who came to me after each speech thanking me by saying things like “I felt like you were speaking directly to me, I really needed that,” or in passing “That was awesome man, thanks!”

Delivering these speeches opened my mind to possibilities of pursuing public speaking in order to help anyone who has ears to hear. Although I spoke probono for my Alma Mater, if you have groups that might benefit from a motivational pep talk I would gladly do it for free or any size donation in order to meet my fundraising goal of $15,500.
