Arrived two days ago to Haripur, Nepal. A small village located only 20km from North border of India. Yesterday was our first adventure out into the villages to share the good news of Jesus Christ.

It took 1hour and 30 minutes by foot to reach a home where fellow believers meet. We walked through dirt paths, towns with goats, towns with water buffalos, towns with chickens, and towns with everything mixed in. Even crossed a small river! We are in an area where all the "untouchables" live which doesn't even fall into the Hindu caste system. They are below the lowest caste and therefore are untouchable or you will be deemed unclean and defiled if you do.

Before we reached our destination to fellowship, we crossed many families who looked on with curiosity. We extended our smiles with a bow, hands pushed together, and "Namaste!". Finally one family was brave enough to ask the pastor about why we came and the pastor looked to me and said "go ahead and tell them".

He had said this because I had learned many phrases of introduction already and a few words about Christianity. So I went for it and they looked at me with the strangest faces. Then the Pastor translated my broken Nepalese to them and they all smiled. I told them that I was there to serve the Nepalese and share the good news of Jesus.

They showed genuine interest so we passed out tracts in Nepalese and shook their hands.

Today we will be going to homes of villagers to teach them about how to improve their health in practical ways. Pray for easy communication and hearts to receive!

Thank you all for your support!!!
