Simplicity.
Just because something is simple doesn’t mean it’s easy. It’s a simple choice to say yes to the Lord, some days it’s easier than others. Today wasn’t easy, I didn’t want to say yes. I didn’t want to choose him today. I wanted to choose me. Instead of feeling shame for being selfish, I brought it to Him. I can say now with experience, that breakthrough is as simple as saying yes to Him.
It’s a good thing too because I needed breakthrough. I’m in the 10th month out of 11 and it becomes easy to choose comfort. It’s the classic “the Spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak” situation. It takes even more determination now to choose God than it did before.
When Jacob wrestled with God he said “I will not let you go unless you bless me.” Genesis 32:22-32
There is blessing in determination. Are you giving up too soon? Are you giving into comfort by numbing yourself and therefore hardening your heart from God’s voice?
The opposite of love is indifference. So if God is Love then I’m convinced that the saddest thing is a hard heart, indifferent to God.
Awaken sleeper. Grab onto the promises of God, grip your hope and your faith with white knuckles. Don’t let go, because God is faithful to follow through on his Word. FIGHT for Faith! Fight because he is worth it.
Don’t settle for others’ testimonies of faith. YOU can be a living testimony to Gods’ goodness, faithfulness, and his specific call. He made your call specifically for you. Are you willing to bypass it because you’re afraid of what others think, or whatever the excuse is in your mind?
Everyone will one day account for their own decisions made here on earth. Your actions are your own. Will you be proud of yourself looking back on your life? Will you be able to say that you took heart, and chose faith?
This time I get on earth is a speck, yet what I do here on earth effects my eternity. So, so what if I am rejected? So what if I have to endure pain, suffering or worst of all discomfort? Paul said “to live is Christ and to die is gain.” I’m not willing to waste the time I’ve been given.
Because one woman’s lack of faith changed the world by birthing an entire nation that is against God. I believe that my choice of faith is just as powerful as her lack of it. What is your choice?
