Hi Everyone!

My name is Kelton and I am 27. I currently live in West Palm Beach Florida, but I am not a native South Floridian. I was born in upstate New York and my family moved to Ohio when I was six and that is where I grew up. My family would travel back to New England for holidays and have some great memories from up there.

When I was in high school I attended a church called Jackson Christian Church. It was so much fun going to concerts, having all-nighters, and just hanging out. I fully committed my life to God at this church and am so thankful that there were youth ministers there who took the time to show me what a real relationship with Jesus Christ looks like. I saw them really talking to God and living fully for him. Up until then I had just seen church as a place of rules and traditions.

So what brought me to Florida? I moved here when I graduated high school to attend Palm Beach Atlantic College. PBA is a small liberal arts Christian school and while attending that school I met some great friends that will last a lifetime. I majored in Computer Information Systems and graduated with honors. School life was great and I would often go to the beach, rollerblade, and play video games with friends.

After I graduated from college, I started working in the computer field and I am a network administrator right now. I have been doing this for two years now and I have really learned a lot that I will be able to bring into a future career. But, I happened to stumble across this organization called Adventures in Missions that has this “mission trip” that is called the World Race.

After much consideration and praying, I decided to do it. This race is going to be so awesome. I am so blessed to have so many friends who have supported me up until now with encouragement and I know that is is what God wants me to do.

Hebrews 12:1-2 says, “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
