Here’s a short blog on all things fundraising!

Where exactly does your monetary support go?

1. What does the $18,200 cover?

  • All team cost on the field (food, lodging, and air/sea travel, and medical insurance)
  • All administrative cost (training, coaching, debriefs)

2. What it DOES NOT cover

  • Personal cost (gear, vaccinations, personal spending money)

3. Where does the money go?

  • Adventures in Missions (the parent company of The World Race) is responsible for stewarding the money for my squad (people I travel and do ministry with while on the race)
  • Squad Administrators help with and distribute finances as needed for the entire time I will be on the field

How do taxes work?

  • All donations given directly through The World Race website are: non-refundable, non-transferable, BUT tax deductible
  • Donors will be given a year end statement and are able to claim their donation on their taxes

To be completely honest, I have never liked fundraising.  Although given lots of opportunities growing up to do it, I always chose not to.  It the only thing that made me second guess applying to The World Race.  Since starting, I’ve learned that its less about the money and more about trusting God 100% for His provisions.  The Lord will continue to bring supporters in His perfect timing.  I know that being faithful and active in my waiting, there is no need to worry about the monetary amount posted on my blog.  It’s also been pretty cool to invite and involve others into the expansion of Gods Kingdom!  He is doing incredible things through The World Race and by supporting this mission, supporters get to take part in His Kingdom work… from their couch!

In this season of fundraising, I am putting all my trust in Jesus, knowing that He is in control and He takes delight in meeting all my needs!

Lots of love,

Kelsie
