Previously in my last blog I talked about all the feels of training camp. In this blog I am going to answer some questions many of you have asked me about dates, teams, fundraising, and all that jazz. So go through the bolded questions and see which ones you want to know about and read up buttercup.

Side Note: Some of these questions I wrote last week so with dates obviously Im not a home anymore. I am on the field currently and will be working on a bog still trying to get in the swing of things here. Will update as soon as possible.

1. Are you fully funded? How can I continue to support you?

YES I AM FULLY FUNDED!!! God is good. I cant not express how thankful I am to everyone who has supported me financially, with prayers, and helping e with fundraisers. THANK YOU SO MUCH! It is such a relief to be able to begin my journey fully funded. The crawfish boil was a huge success thank you to everyone who came out to support.

So this means DO NOT MAKE DONATIONS THROUGH MY BLOG please ๐Ÿ™‚ There are so many different programs I can get involved in after the race through Adventures in Missions (AIM). Currently I do not know what I will be doing when I get back from the race. If I do make the decision to join a program through AIM or embark on another journey God calls me to I will be sure to keep you updated. If that does happen I would start fundraising while on the race.

If you still want to continue to support me you still can. Number one thing you can do is pray. Pray for my team, our travels, our ministry contacts, the countries we will be going to. Pray that we walk with the holy spirit that we have discernment when going through these foreign cities. Financially throughout the year I may have different opportunities to do something adventurous that may cost money. If thats something you would like to help out with financially please email me and I will get you in contact with my parents who will be able to put the donation in my personal account. If you would like to help my team be fully funded you can click the bottom to the left and donate to them through their blogs ๐Ÿ™‚

2. What is your first country and ministry?

My team and I will be in Skopje, Macedonia for our first month!!! Some fun facts about the country: The largest cross in the world is located in Skopje. Mother Theresa was born and baptized here in Macedonia. Macedonia base the most number of mountains and peaks than any other country along with the deepest lake in Europe. The ministry we will be working with is the Institute for Spiritual Development.

Ministry Vision: The ministry we will be working along side with is called the Institute for spiritual development. The main purpose of the Institute for Spiritual Development is to provide men and women a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, a love for people, and to equip them for the work of the Lord so they in turn can build up the body of Christ and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Macedonia and all per the world.

3. What route/squad are you on? What route/squad are you on?

I am on Route 1 third generation R Squad also known as the Red Squad aka The Wolfpack. Route 1 consists of the following countries: Macedonia, Romania, Malawi, Zambia, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, & Chile. Third generation obviously means there were 2 other R Squads before us haha. Red is our team color. The Wolfpack is a name we gave ourselves #WRWolfpack. Urban dictionary defines a Wolfpack as “A group of friends who consider themselves different from the norm but are bound to each other because of their unique qualities.” We are exactly that we are family. We are brothers and sisters in Christ. The squad (FamBam as I like to call it) consists of 52 squad mates and 3 squad leaders who will be with us for the next six months.

4. So what’s the difference from a squad & a team? What team are you on?

Our squad of 55 is divided up into eight teams of 6-7 people. The team formation process was a long based on personality tests, multiple team exercises, and PAYER. I am on team Geronima! My teammates are: Megan Barretto, Kortney Gulley, Corrie Walker, Kelli Tanner, & Danielle Marie. The word that comes to mind when I see all these wonderful women is GIRL POWER and if you know me you know I would never say those words so that’s saying something haha. (TEAMS GO TO COUNTRY SPLIT TO CITIES)

5. How did you guys come up with the team name Geronima?

Everyone was asked to come up with a team name before we left camp. Tones of names came to mind but seriously you would not believe how many have already been used by previous generations of teams. So we came up Geronima which is Geronimo but we added an A at the end to make it feminine because we are an all-girls team. Clever I know haha. There was a few different definitions I found on Geronimo that basically sums up what I believe Geronima means to us.

Definition of Geronimo: “A battle cry used to express exhilaration, especially when leaping from a great height or moving at a high speed.

Definition of Battle Cry: “A word or phrase shouted by soldiers going into battle to express solidarity and intimidate the enemy.
-“A slogan expressing the ideals of people promoting a cause.”

Geronimo in Culture Expand: “An Apache leader of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. A brave and unrelenting warrior, Geronimo was among the last to lead Native Americans against white settlers. He took to farming at the end of his life.”

Urban Dictionary Definition for Geronimo: “Another word for powerful love, unconditional love that never dies
-“Love makes you want to jump from the empire state building, screaming the whole way down. I don’t even call it “love” I call it Geronimo”

We are soldiers. We are soldiers equipped with the armor of God. (Ephesians 6:10-18) Temptation from the enemy is everywhere and he needs to know that we have God on our side and with that he will run and hide. We are going into the nations to speak truth, to make disciples, to tell people about the unconditional love of Jesus. (Matthew 28:19) For me personally this mission trip really is a “Geronimo” type experience sense it will be my first. I really am just diving in there head first! For all of us this will be an experience that is sometimes scary but it completely worth the risk so…GERONIMA!!!

6. How will I stay in touch with you?

Leaving home for a year is hard especially leaving my twin ๐Ÿ™ I may never get this opportunity again though and I want to be fully present in every way. Currently I am still bringing my phone but I will only be using it for a camera and Instagram photos. I will not have any kind of service except for wifi. I’m still going around in circles on wether or not to even bring it. So we will see. I will have my laptop to blog, make videos, and answer emails. I will have Skype but I will not be using it everyday or even weekly. Again I want to be present. If you would like my monthly update email please let me know your email address. I will also have a prayer request email update. I need some prayer warriors at home!!!
