When I first got the assignment to write a blog on training camp I wasn’t sure where I would even start. But I think one of the biggest things I have realized since I got here is that this is not what I expected it to be. They probably had an idea that racers had some thoughts about what was going to happen here because the first night’s talk was on having/not having expectations!
Instead of loading us up with information on where exactly we will be and what exactly we will be doing, they have been working on us. They have been equipping us to be the men and women of God that we must be in order to, in essence, be His warriors. You cannot help others unless you first help/right yourself. God has revealed himself in many ways that I have never seen. Needless to say, we believe that we are only going to see greater things!
And seriously….I am going to need some major prayer because by Tuesday I was praising the Lord for an apple like it was manna from heaven! They have us on a regional diet according to the countries we are going to be in, so the tastes and portions are not quite what we are used to! So if someone could have a continual supply of donuts, pizza and Chik-fil-a being sent to me I would love you forever J.
