The Trailhead: Where I’m Coming From
Hi, Hello, Howdyyyyy! (No I am not a cowgirl, but I am from Texas). My name is Kelsi and I am 25 years old, born and raised in Austin, TX. Growing up my family (parents, older brother, and two younger sisters) and I loved to camp at the beach, hike in the mountains and sail at the lake. I also played a lot of soccer and ended up playing soccer in college for Southern Methodist University, where I graduated with a B.S. in Biology in 2006. I’ve lived in Dallas for just over 6 years, and although different from Austin, I have grown to like it’s finer points.

Trekking Onward! Where I’m Going

I was first presented with the the idea of The World Race in 2006, and I am so excited that God has made it a reality for October 2009! I will be turning 26 the day before I leave and am excited for such an adventure in my 26th year of life. I became a Christian when I was 18, but it has been in the past three years that, through grace and sanctification, I have truly come to pursue Jesus and to desire to live for God and His glory. I also love the perpetual motion of traveling; seeing new things, meeting new people, seeking adventure, and I am excited for a challenging and amazing opportunity to do work for the Lord. I know that God has placed that love for adventure in me so that I will bring the love and hope of Jesus to others. I truly just want to live out Matthew 22:36-40!
