You Supporter’s Rock!

I am still incredibly thankful for my supporters. I sent emails to those who donated, but I know there are more of you who anonymously donated and who are praying. I wanted to remind my supporters that they are very important and are part of my prayers. Just as you have supported me I would like to dedicate a day to pray for my supporters (Tuesday). The Lord has been teaching me more about prayer and I would like to intercede for you. So please let me know if there are specific things I can lift up.

Just to catch you up with my life and journey I am currently in Panama. Last month in Malaysia ended our time in Asia and we now start our last continent.

It’s crazy how quickly the months have flown by. It feels like Africa was ages ago, but it was only three months ago. Doing life in Africa was certainly an experience that I will never forget. The people, tribes, culture, food, ministry opportunities, and seeing God’s creation in Africa was incredible. The three months spent in Malawi, Zimbabwe and Botswana were times of growth, facing challenges, and growing in deeper intimacy with the Lord. Each month in Africa had something special and I continue to see the Lord.

In Malawi I saw God answer prayers quickly and perfectly, in Zimbabwe God showed me He is a God of abundance, and in Botswana He loved me with His deep fatherly love. It’s so cool to look back at the things the Lord has taught me and shown me. He is a God who is in constant pursuit of His loved ones.

These past three months in Asia have been different, but filled with growth and heartache. Cambodia, Thailand, and Malaysia are beautiful countries that have strong histories. Within these countries there is so much diversity. Diversity ethnically, culturally, and religiously. I’ve personally never engaged with so many people who practice Buddhism, Islam, and Hindi. There is still much for me to know, but I’m glad I can love them and spread the light.

In Asia the Lord has continually broken my heart for the people here. In Cambodia the Lord brought my team to see women who have faced many trials in their life, but those women remain strong and resilient. In Thailand we walked in the Red Light District and wow what an experience. We saw women, men and children trapped in brokenness of the world. In Malaysia we’ve seen corruption and misuse of power ( elections just took place and everyone here is thankful for the new Prime Minister). There are also many refugees from Myanmar who are fighting to belong and make the world a better place. Although we’ve see much brokenness it’s been affirming to see the Lord at work, answer prayers, and bring us closer to His heart.

Specifically last month in Malaysia a few of my teammates and I volunteered to teach life skills to women who have been rescued out of human trafficking. This was an answered prayer because it was seeing bondage in Thailand to seeing freedom in Malaysia and being able to serve them. Also in Malaysia there were times of making new friends of diverse backgrounds and pouring life into them. Another was seeing the Lord answer our prayers in providing another building for the homeless shelter that we volunteered at because they were told to relocate. So many great stories to give the Lord glory and praise! All these stories and more are not possible without you! Thank you for coming alongside me in this journey and it’s still not over!

Pray for these countries above and the countries we will bring going to. We were supposed to go to Nicaragua this month but due to political unrest we were not allowed into the country so please pray for Nicaragua.

Pray for team unity (another team change is happening for months 10&11). Pray for deep intimacy with Christ and that we all press in deeper. Pray we would continue to trust the Lord with all that lay ahead. Pray for the people I have conversations with and develop relationships with. Pray my life is a reflection of Jesus. The Lord is so good and He certainly hears us!

With much love,

Kelsey Yonnie
