Victory is Here in

R O M A N I A!

My entire squad and I have been here in Romania for about a week now! There are so many needs to be met here in Draganesti-Olt. Sometimes days are too long and I feel so exhausted and overwhelmed. Other days I feel like I can go forever. But one thing that I have been constantly reminded of is that we have VICTORY everyday with the Lord.

The place where we are doing ministry is called “the graveyard” because many missionaries come and then lose their faith or many other believers fall away. There are about 0.2% of believers here in the southern part of Romania. Both the squad as a whole and me individually, have been feeling a bit of spiritual darkness. This area is suffering from a lot of things and I want to do so much, but realistically I can only do so much.

My team and I work close with our ministry host as his personal assistants. While working with him, we organize and plan as if we were the head of the ministry. Wow, let me tell you! This stuff is not easy. There is so much that goes into planning and organizing things for a ministry. I am so glad I don’t have this role by myself. Beside the office work, my team and I have been teaching and reaching out to the community. We taught kids in an after-school program in the morning (Friday, November 17). I love hanging out with kids!

(I pray that these kids would know that they are loved and they are more than able to become what they want to be when they get older. One boy is very intelligent and wants to be a president. These kids have dreams and wishes and I don’t want circumstances to take that away from them.)

Other teams on my squad volunteer with other things in the ministry like construction, food donations, trash clean up, kids programs, Sunday school, house visits, and more.

This past Wednesday, as a squad and with our new Romanian friends, we went to a nearby city and passed out New Testament bibles and shared the Gospel. The Lord is doing things here, guys! It’s exciting to be a part of it even when we don’t see much fruit. They are opening a new church in the nearby city in December and have confirmed the place they will be renting.

So through all that has been happening here, as dark as it may feel, the enemy has no hold on us. We will continue to let our lights shine here in this town, area, and country. We will trust that the Holy Spirit is with us and together with the Lord we will have victory in whatever happens. This month many have gotten sick, one got sent to the hospital (now out and well), and another one of our squad-mates had to go home for personal reasons, but will be back before the end of the month. Even though we have hit bumps, we will always have victory with the Lord.

It’s only been about a week, so I’m excited to see how else the Lord will be leading us and giving us victory this month.

Continue to pray for this country and the people here. Pray that I would be fully funded and reach my next funding goals. November 30th is the next goal and reach $13,000.

If you would like to talk, catch up, or want more information email me and I will get back to you as soon as I can!
