Hey! My mom came to Thailand and she wrote a blog post about ministry in the Red Light District of Chiang Mai, Thailand:

Part 1: Mom in the Red Light
As Kelsey and I walked and prayed through the Red Light District of Chiang Mai, Thailand, my heart ached for the young ladies, young men and children caught in the prostitution and sex trafficking industry. This has become a norm for many families in Thailand. This is a heartbreaking realization. Daughters and even sons are raised to become prostitutes to financially support themselves and their families. My prayer was for the fathers of these families to question their Buddhism faith, to seek Jesus, become Godly fathers, be the Godly leader of their home, and lead & protect their family.
We have an amazing God! He loves each of us dearly and unconditionally. He sent his son to die for each and everyone of us regardless of the wrong we have done. The people of Chiang Mai need to know this!

With the Lord going before us, Kelsey and I had the privilege of talking with a few people in the Red Light District. Kelsey prayed with a young mother and her two baby girls. These babies are so precious. Although there was a language barrier, this young mother allowed Kelsey to pray for her children! She prayed that they would be blessed and know how much they are loved by Jesus. Jesus loves all the little children of the world!
I enjoyed praying and ministering among the Thai people with my daughter! Pray for those working with Adventures in Missions, Zion Hostel and Bella Goose Coffee who share and spread the Gospel there in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Pray their lights to shine in this very darkened area and that many people in Chiang Mai will come to know Christ!
Fun fact: The people of Thailand have many tribes just as we Native Americans do in the US. It was interesting to talk with the Thai people about the differences among their tribes. So beautiful to see more of God‘s creation.
